Hi, I’m Christina (or Chris), She/her.
I help adults and adolescents rebuild trust with themselves and in their relationships, especially after traumatic experiences have made that difficult. Many of the people I work with feel stuck in confusing emotions or reactivity, disconnected from their bodies or emotions, or worn down by environments that don’t support healing. I can support you in feeling more connected to yourself and in your relationships.
You might work well with me if:
You want a therapist who is engaged and responsive rather than passive
You value “realness”, two way feedback, and occasional humor
You feel disconnected from your body or have trouble trusting internal signals
Identifying or talking about emotions feels awkward or overwhelming
Your past experiences keep creeping into your present life and impacting your life and relationships, leaving you exhausted and longing for relief
My Background
My work is rooted in relational-cultural theory, which means I pay attention to how power, culture, and relationships shape well being. I believe healing happens through connection to ourselves and others.
I came to this work following my own process of healing from complex food and mental health challenges. I completed my dietetics degree from the University of British Columbia in 2012 and have specialized in eating disorders since 2018. Working in higher levels of care, I continued to witness trauma and relational wounds intersecting with eating disorders, which motivated me to deepen my clinical training beyond nutrition. I graduated from Seattle University with my MAEd in clinical mental health counseling and completed EMDR training in 2024.
I am fat liberation aligned, weight-inclusive, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming (including autism and PDA).
