Trauma + EMDR

You’re here because you are carrying trauma that has left you burdened with shame or disconnected from your body, your relationships, or yourself. To everyone else, you might seem fine, but internally you are on edge or shut down. You may feel fine until suddenly you’re not - a switch flips in your nervous system and you react in ways that feel totally out of your control.

You may know clearly that you experienced trauma. Or you may feel your experiences don’t “count” as trauma because they were minimized or never named. But your body remembers.

I provide in-person, trauma-informed somatic therapy and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma and PTSD. My approach is highly relational and we’ll work together to develop a space that empowers you with choice and moves at your pace. This work aims to reduce triggers and ease shame so that you can feel more present and connected in your life.

My focus areas include:

  • Medical trauma

  • Abuse and assault

  • Complex PTSD (CPTSD), including childhood abuse and neglect

  • Systemic trauma, including discrimination and structural violence

  • “Little T” trauma - events that may not have been labeled trauma, but had a lasting effect on your nervous system
